Leathergoods And Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) receives the entitlement to issue Country of Origin (CO) certificates for its member factories. Thanks to the Ministry of Commerce for issuing a circular on November 3, 2022. From now on, LFMEAB members can easily avail of the Country of Origin (CO) certificates for countries other than European Union countries. Before, LFMEAB’s member firms were required to join other Chambers of Commerce to obtain Country of Origin (CO) certificates. Now, the Country of Origin (CO) certificate will be issued to the members from the LFMEAB office. This initiative is expected to reduce the cost of doing business and contribute to the export trade expansion of the country.
