Community School of Leathergoods And Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) –Picard Community School –Won Gold Medals in 9th Agrani Bank National ITF Taekwondo Championship 2017 and 4th Bangladesh Cup Championship 2017 was held from 31st December 2017 to 1st January 2018 at Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.
Nine students and one instructor of Picard School, Savar participated in the competition among others and Picard School clinched 3 gold medals, 5 Silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. Gold medal winners are Sifat, Sharmira, and Mahim, Silver medal winners are Shakil, Leon, Faria, & Sultan, and bronze medals winners are Shakil, and Mizanur Rahman respectively. In addition, International Taekwondo Federation of Bangladesh (ITF) handed over Championship Crest to Picard School for its good discipline in the competition.
Mr. Mohammad Ismail, Chairman Bangladesh Krishi Bank was the Chief Guest in the award giving ceremony of the competition and distributed prizes among the winners, while, Mr. Solaiman Sikder, National Chief Instructor of International Taekwondo Federation of Bangladesh (ITF) and Pak Kyung Chul, Deputy Chief of the Mission, North Korean Embassy in Dhaka were special guests in the ceremony.
