Honorable prime minister Sheikh Hasina declared leather, leathergoods & footwear as the “product of the year-2017” at the beginning of this year.
As per Product of the Year- 2017 activity plan, LFMEAB has initiated a year-round corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity program heading “Beyond the Compliance”
Under the beyond the compliance initiative LFMEAB has tasted different contagious diseases (e.g. Tuberculosis) in its member’s factories, and successfully completed the first phase of Tuberculosis screening in cooperation with BRAC.
The second phase of Tuberculosis screening will begin soon in the remaining factories. The orientation program of Tuberculosis screening will be held as follows:
