A Footwear Summit took place in Vietnam, organized by LEFASO (Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association) and ECV International heading “Vietnam Footwear Summit 2017”. The program was two days long and footwear industry related delegates from all over the Asia participated in that summit. The Executive director and Head of policy & resource of LFMEAB took part on that occasion. The main goal of the summit was to represent the recent scenario of footwear and leather goods industry in Vietnam and How different international trade policies are going to change the future trends of the footwear and leather goods industry worldwide. Especially the new USA government is implying different trade laws and planning to abolish some existing trade agreements.
LFMEAB delegates had a meeting with the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO). the Goal of the meeting was to strengthen the relations between LFMEAB and LEFASO and creates more scope for works that would benefit mutually. The delegates of LFMEAB also visited two leather goods and or footwear factories and one non-leather factory in Vietnam. They have also visited the training institute of LEFASO and both parties are expecting a mutually beneficial partnership with each other.
