Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) is going to sign MoU with Intertek on 11th February 2015 at the British High Commissioners Residence, Dhaka. With the MOU singing new and more comprehensive collaboration are expected between LFMEAB and Intertek such as:
• Awareness training amongst our members on new EU and USA product safety, RSL and compliance initiatives
• Partnering with LFMEAB on creating a BEST PRACTICES award amongst our member companies for compliance
• Technical and other support for our proposed knowledge centre for the industry
• Creating awareness on sustainability initiatives appropriate for our industry
• Jointly organizing BSMs for our members and major retailers and buyers
• Offering internship or immersion programmes for new managers and technical personnel from industry
• Offering special testing packages and rates for our members
