Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) and EU funded Inspired Project organized a month long training program titled “Skills Training on Footwear Designing” in association with LFMEAB strategic partner Centre of Excellence for Leather Skill Bangladesh Limited (COEL). H.E Excellency Mr. Mario Palma, Honorable Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Bangladesh inaugurated the training at COEL centre, Gazipur on 18th March 2015. President of LFMEAB and Executive Director of LFMEAB was also present in the inauguration program.
Mr. Champak Mukhopadhyay of the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), India is facilitating the training program. 25 participants from LFMEAB member factories participated in the training program. From the training, participants are expected to acquire technical skills in creating functional and fashionable footwear and distinct aesthetic sense to develop trend-setting shoe styles in Bangladesh.
